Antenna for motorola mcs 200012/27/2022 ![]() He programmed fine, but he said he is missing the accessory connector, so can't test any further. ![]() I just got a response from the other guy that got the other UHF high power like mine. It does not blow the fuse, I'm currently running a 40A AGU in my Stinger fuseblock. Not setup for data that I can see in the RSS. No 'bad tones' on PTT, alerts are enabled. The Tx light does not come on, who knows why, it also does not come on at power up, which its selftest it should come on I would think, so it could be possibly burned out. Yes it acts like it is dumping power to ground, but there is no 'hum' or anything from the PA, so almost like it is not being told to turn on. ![]() I don't have a wattmeter to check power, but most likely it is nil. I will ask our main Comms Programmer if this problem sounds familiar to him. I would also contact the other buyers and see if they have had time to fully test thiers, i see alot of POS feedback, then follow-ups saying " not working properly or not at all". I say resistive because a direct short would blow the fuse block, and you said it does not blow the block, no? So, that leaves a blown final transistor/s, or maybe a resistive short somewhere in the PA. The rdaio is not setup as a DATA radio, which would knock it down to 1 watt max on all modes. I believe if any of the TX inhibits were enabled the radio would "bad tone" you on PTT, yes? If the alert tones are enabled. ![]() The TX lite does not work or is it burned out? You tested TX power with a watt meter and verified 0 watts output, but has a significant draw on the power supply like it's dumping power to ground, yes?Įven if the PA is blown, you will still get an RF field around the radio from the pre-drives enough for a scanner to pick up and show a pretty good draw from the P/S. The antenna was connected to my Comtelco 4.5 XL, so it had a load. I would have thought the PS would be able to handle the amerage, it runs my 32 channel 40 watt Maxtrac with no problem on high power. Personalities to low power, still would do the same. When I would key the radio, it would shut off the display, like it was too much drain for the Power Supply. When I had the radio on the bench for initial programming, I had connected to the standard Motorola Power Supply, the one where you can fit a Maxtrac or Radius in the same housing. I watched my Stinger Digital Fuseblock voltage readout and it drops about. The radio is like new, but you know how that goes. The radio is doing something on the PTT, but the Red LED for Tx does not come on. I have contacted both of the other people and both of theirs work and the auction state 'guaranteed to work'. Two UHF High Power and one VHF High Power. The radio is from ebay, there were 3 radio's from the same people on 3 different auctions. I have the Ignition Switch set to 'blank'. Need some help here. Will, Todd, Monty, MCS2000 Guru's? Everything I read says that it shouldn't need it, but remember how some of the radio's like the Maratrac require it? Are you sure you don't have an ignition sense hooked up. It will as I said before, mute the audio and put the radio into some other state for about a second to 1.5 seconds.strange.Ģnd Edit/Update: The handset should be set to inhibit, thats for a base operation with a handset wired into the accessory connector, doesn't work either way. The radio is sending something from the Mic, if I push when I'm scanning, it will jump back to the last channel I had entered. Also, I have a brand new control cable, put it in and still no difference. On your previous post you said it was under the display menu, I don't see a setting for Handset.Ĭould you possibly send me your codeplug so that I can look at your settings compared to mine?Įdit.update: I did find the display option for adding the 'handset' to the 'menu' options from the remote head. I didn't see a reference in the RSS to turn on/off the Mic/Handset? What menu would it be under. I read your post from before, one difference is that you got the Red Tx LED to come on for a half second, mine doesn't.
